There’s so much more

Someday I’ll take the time to write more of an introduction.  But, meanwhile, here are a few random notes and scriptures that I’m sure will help place where my heart is.

Recent prophetic word to our church: “There’s more, there’s so much more.” This was spoken in a way that revealed the heart of God.  He’s given us so much, but we’ve taken so little.  He wants to heal us, transform us, equip us and use us for His glory – yes there is so much more for us to receive, and it’s the desire of His heart that we do.

Lord, I want to be hungry, I want to be thirsty, I want to be hungry for more of you.

Lam. 5:21 “Restore us to you Oh Lord that we may be restored; renew our days as of old.” The Lord gave me this scripture in a dream after I was praying for my church and our nation.  I saw in big letters the citation, Lam. 5:21.  When I awoke, I went to my Bible.  I didn’t even know if the book of Lamentations had five chapters, or if chapter 5 have 21 verses.  I now speak this God-given prayer from scripture every day as I seek God for revival in my personal life, family, church, region, nation and the whole world.

Ps 86:11 “Teach me Your way, Oh Lord, that I may walk in Your truth; Unite my heart that I may revere and honor Your Name.” Another daily prayer for many years.

Charles S. Price: “The way to God is through Christ, and the way to Christ is through faith, and the way to faith is through surrender of our will to God’s will.” That surrender comes as we receive the Rhema Word of God ministering to our hearts. I recently stumbled on this book by Price, “Spiritual and Physical Health” when going through some old books.  A bookmark I had in it was a calendar page dated May 13, 1974, which was about six months after I was Baptised in the Holy Spirit. Seems like I had underlined more than half of the book.

Surrendering to God is putting our trust in Him.

Lord, I want to fully surrender and let you have control full control in my life.

I want to draw near to you – in the secret place of my heart – knowing that you will draw near to me (James 4:8).

Lord, You want us healed and whole, with every need met because You love us, but also so we can focus, not on ourselves and our problems, but on You and Your plans and purposes.  We want breakthroughs in our lives, but not only to satisfy our needs and desires, but so that we can be free to really serve You wholeheartedly.

Lord, purify our motives.

Lord, it is Your desire that none would be lost.

Lord, You look out over the multitudes of the world and You have such great love and compassion – they are lost and without a shepherd.  You said the harvest is great, but the laborers are few.  (Matt 9:36-38).  That’s still true, in this age.  I pray for laborers to bring in a huge harvest in this generation. Lord use us, use me.

Lord, embolden us and help us to reach out with Your heart of compassion.

Matt 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
